True Love

In I Corinthians 13 we are given good instruction on the importance of love. Unbelievably, even if we do amazing things in work and in life, in the absence of love we 'gain nothing' (v. 3). These amazing things may include speaking in tongues, prophesying, possessing great wisdom and understanding, giving all to the poor, enduring physical hardship... wow!

According to the Word of God, love is "patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..." (vv. 4-8).

Whatever tasks you find before you today, do them with love!
